Since 1998

Hello there! I'm Esmeralda Colabone, a contemporary intercultural dancer with Arab - Mediterranean inspiration.

My artistic practice is an alchemy of inherited and chosen lineages. I am the product of the encounter of multiple diasporas; my roots are planted in one of the classic Brazilian narratives of transatlantic crossing, where European immigrants and Afro-Brazilian ancestors met and mingled.
This heritage of borders is my birthright.

But my path led me to another immersion, deep and personal.
In 2002, at just 19 years old, I was introduced to businessman Omar Naboulsi and "La Maison De L'Artiste" in Lebanon (a prestigious Lebanese entertainment agency between 1980 and 2015), where I became one of the youngest dancers at the time to secure a professional contract with them. I was discovered, chosen, and broke a record at one of the most prestigious institutions in the field before turning 20.
For 12 years, I lived and danced throughout the Arab world, from the Maghreb to the Gulf to the Levant, in the most prestigious Syrian-Lebanese restaurants of five-star hotels such as the Hilton, Rotana, Fairmont, and JW Marriott.
There, I wasn't a visitor, but a student, a colleague, a roommate, a friend; I was one of them. I was welcomed, culturally educated, and technically shaped by local communities and great masters. This journey transformed my inherited plurality into an even deeper vocabulary, lived in my body, and forged me into the artist I am today.

After retiring from the stages of the Arab world in 2014, I began a new journey: to deepen my understanding of my own potential and share it with the world.

I debuted on the dance festival circuit in 2012, but it was in 2015, with two highly successful videos on social media, that I gained considerable visibility and established my name as one of the strongest in the global scene.

In 2016, I opened my own school in São Paulo, Brazil, where I mentored national and international dancers and produced three shows. Those were four intense years, which provided me with enormous learning experiences and, combined with all my previous experiences, solidified my career as one of the most important in my country in this art form.

In 2024, I launched the Silver Tour, one of the largest tours by a foreign artist in the Arabic and fusion dance segment. It spanned 593 days, 22 countries, and had the mission of raising awareness within the industry about ageism, gender equality, cultural responsibility, and artistic redemption.

Today, I continue crossing borders and contributing to helping dancers find their best version, not only technically but also artistically, and emotionally.
